In the early 2000’s, Founder Mijo Alanis was shocked to see that people were trading in their cheeseburgers and french fries for salads and fresh produce. This shift sparked an idea in Mijo’s mind that would soon become Metro-Detroit’s most iconic fast-casual restaurant. In 2005, Mijo opened the very first Beyond Juicery + Eatery in Birmingham, Michigan serving up great food and even better customer service. Now, after 15 years of business, the mission remains the same… “FRESH is our Focus, PEOPLE are our Purpose!”
With 15 years of experience under our belts, Beyond Juice has become more than a restaurant; it’s a lifestyle. Over the years, we have perfected our customer experience, systemized our operations and designed visually stunning spaces that have resulted in a loyal and dedicated customer base.
Over the past two years Beyond Juicery + Eatery began franchising and experienced explosive growth. Opening more than 15 locations in the Michigan and Ohio markets in the past two years alone, our concept has seamlessly transitioned into new markets. By holding onto our cornerstones of offering the freshest ingredients, and the friendliest service, we are proud to be the best part of our customer’s day in all of our locations!

In the early 2000’s, life-time Restaurateurs Mijo Alanis and Pam Vivio began to notice a shocking new trend: while working in Pam’s family restaurant, they watched as people traded in their cheeseburgers and french fries for salads and fresh produce. After witnessing more and more customers seek healthier options, they began to theorize about a new concept that served fresh, healthy foods and smoothies. While this type of concept had begun to take a foothold on the East and West Coasts, Mijo and Pam were among the first to test the concept in the Michigan market. In 2005, they opened the very first Beyond Juicery + Eatery location in Birmingham, Michigan delighting its customers with a focus on healthy and fresh ingredients that tasted Beyond good!
After years of serving award winning smoothies and delicious food options, people began to knock on the door wanting to become a part of the Beyond Juicery + Eatery family. With the goal to spread their concept across the country, Mijo and Pam jumped at the opportunity and began their research into franchise systems. They quickly discovered that in order to establish a successful business model, their relationship with franchisees had to be truly symbiotic. As an independent owner and/or operator, you take care of the guests while we support you along the way. Your main responsibility is to treat your guests as number one, while we support you through everything from construction and training, to marketing and operations.
